Appartamento spagnolo by ELLE DECOR ITALIA
Exposition Nouveautés
Combining the Italian and Spanish experience
A month after the celebration of the Salone del Mobile, Elle Decor Italia talks about Made in Spain design in an article about the ‘pop up’ interior design project curated by DWA Design Studio during Milano Design Week.
The ‘Spanish Apartment’ event led to the transformation of the Milanese headquarters of the Cervantes Institute of Art and Culture into a real home, thanks to the project by Frederik De Wachter and Alberto Artesani of the DWA Design Studio.
The studio, capable of recreating a domestic dimension in a place dedicated to work, used only Spanish raw materials based on an idea from the prestigious Elle Decor Italia magazine. A total of 12 Spanish firms active in the design sector got involved to present paintings, furniture, lights, coverings, rugs and other accessories.
Novocuadro Art Company bet for the beauty based on the simplicity of forms and presented a collection made up of a total of six original artworks by Jaime Jurado that revolved around a combination of whites, beiges and grays to bring the viewer closer to a modern minimalism.
